Memon Sports Club has been at the forefront of sporting and social events in our jamaat for over 80 years now. Since its inception in 1937, the club has been integral in providing its members with a platform to showcase and enhance their sporting skills in various sporting disciplines. The mainstay sports within the club have been Volleyball, Football, Table Tennis, Badminton and Darts. The Club has been successful in its pursuit for glory, winning various team titles including the EA Challenge Cup in 1973, The Bana Cup in 1981, Rahim Kana Cup in 1982 & 1987, Kenya Open Cup in 2008 & 2017 and the Asian Football League in 2011 amongst other victories.
Memon Sports Club and its members have always supported social and welfare initiatives taken up by the Jamaat. Its continuous participation and involvement in voluntary work at Jamaat events is testament to the very fabric that has been used to stitch the cloth that covers us all.
The recent completion and handover of the Club House has given the Club administration renewed optimism as to giving its members a valued return for membership. Having a solid base to work from will give the club a stronghold and ensure sporting facilities are availed to members throughout the week. A fresh membership drive will be conducted in due course to outline the advantages of taking up membership in order to ensure the long term continuity of the Club and the well-being of its members and their families. Matters of health and fitness are of utmost importance in our lives and the Club will strive to provide safe and solid platforms for its members throughout the year.
