Circular No. 16/2022

MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIRMAN

In the name of Allah, Most Compassionate, Most Merciful.
Assalamu ‘alaykum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh. On behalf of the Officials and Members of the Managing Committee, I would like to extend my hearty felicitations to all members of the Jamat on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Adha, which will be celebrated on Sunday, 10th July 2021 in accordance with the declaration made by the Chief Kadhi of Kenya.
On this blessed occasion, we need to pause and reflect upon the importance of sacrifice for the sake of the greater good – our families, friends, neighbours, community and ummah at large. Let us also channel the spirit of Eid-ul-Adha to consider those in need during these difficult times so that we can make it through together.
Our Welfare Committee continues to serve with untiring zeal and dedication towards the ongoing Qurbani Goats Exercise, an unparalleled qurbani service offered to members of our Jamat. It is my earnest appeal to all members of the Jamat both in Mombasa and around the world to support this noble project through direct purchase or donating your qurbani through the Welfare Committee. May The Almighty accept and reward the selfless efforts of the committee members and all those who support the exercise in one way or another. Aameen.
Let us make dua for members of our Jamat and all other Hujjaaj the world over. May Allah (SWT) grant them Hajj-e-Mabroor, Hajj-e-Maqbool and reunite them with their families soon. InshaAllah may we all be granted the opportunity to be counted amongst the audience of our Loving Creator during the next Hajj season.
With the Grace of the Almighty Who has blessed us with generous donors, selfless volunteers and with the du’a of our elders, the Jamat has organised Eid Dinner Khaawo Insha Allah on the 23rd of July 2022. Goat Contributions towards the Khaawo are welcome through the Qurbani exercise team.

With a heavy heart, I would like to pay my deep respect to those who celebrated Eid-ul- Adha last year and are no longer with us. May Allah (SWT) grant our departed souls a lofty abode in Jannah and grant swabr to their near and dear ones.
I would like to extend my gratitude to all members who attended and participated in the Jamat’s AGM and Election Sensitization Forum. On behalf of the working teams of the Jamat, I seek your forgiveness and appeal for du’a. May Allah (SWT) ease our difficulties, grant us health and protection, peace, unity and prosperity. Aameen.
From the Jamat to you all – Eid Mubarak!

Yours Sincerely-in-Service,

Osman Gulammustafa Varwani Chairman, NMJ
